I Am The Other Woman
Normally it's not my circus not my monkeys, but..
It was her son's 18th birthday so MM had some of his family over. She hasn't seen them in 6ish years when she stopped being welcome at family dinners etc.
Her son also had some friends over..
I asked MM how things went. He said, It mostly went well. Until the staggering and slurring and embarrassing behaviours came out.
So much so that his son and friends hid in the bedroom to avoid her and at midnight they all took off to another friends place to finish his birthday celebrations.
As his bil was leaving he says, I see nothing has changed around here. 馃槙 Nope, not really.
MM said he was thinking that maybe for one day she could have held it together for her kid. Not. He said the day before that he was nervous and wanted him to have a good day. I told him that he would make sure it was a good day. I didn't realize this was why he was nervous.
When he picked his son up the first words out of him were, Is she still fucked up? Nope, she's fine and acting like nothing happened.
I just SMH..
