How awkward is it for a job post to ask YOU to include YOUR salary requirement for the job?

Heading over to google, don't know how to put this in a cover letter.

I don't know why this question is even included. It's not like they are going to listen if you say 10,000 an hour. Or even if you said 1 dollar an hour which would be illegal.

@canusernamebemyusername if you pitch too high, you dont get an interview. If you pitch too low, they get you dirt cheap, which is basically why they're doing this.

@firefall yea, I put 4 dollars more than what I make, so even if I get less than that, I'll still be happy
