The diet still seems to be working

Down another 5 pounds for February, making 15 for the year. January second was 190, now I'm at 174.5

Reduced sugars, reduced refined grains, and portion control. I miss soda sometimes, and cheated for my birthday with a two liter but even with that made my 5 pound goal for the month. Not counting calories, haven't even added exercise yet. So I still have ways for an extra push if I plateau. Going to aim for another 5 pounds in March. Target goal is 160 or maybe 150. Definitely feels doable now.

eyyy that's awesome! I love reducing sugars, that's like my favorite thing to work on in a diet. What kinda exercise are you gonna do?

im really proud of you for this! you’re working really hard and I think a lot of people don’t understand how the relationship with food can be super difficult but you’re doing a good job (:
This is awesome. I need to follow your example and am making progress but not as much as you.

@BiasForAction It has really been about reducing portions, and increasing proteins for feeling full for longer. I had a 4 oz steak with a fried egg and some sweet peppers for lunch today. In the before times it would have been a 12 or 16 oz steak. Or honestly, probably something cheaper than steak but a lot worse for me, like a hamburger or something. Good food becomes much more affordable when you portion it out.
@ViciDraco good advice !

169.5 as of today. Was a bit less yesterday, but normal fluctuations. So that is another month of goal met with another five pounds down. Twenty pounds from where I started.

@swirlie still don't have one. Sometimes I do some pushups and situps. But I should be more active. Really thinking about trying to get into some woodworking this summer. If I do, that'll be a lot more movement than usual.
