Saw some sirloin strip steaks were on sale at the store, so I figured that would make for a good dinner. But! I can't decide on which seasoning to use. I have Brazilian Steakhouse blend, Brown Sugar Bourbon blend, and a spice cabinet of other spices. Help me, internet!

Little bit of lemon and black pepper
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@UserNameSW Lemon juice, or lemon zest? I think I saw lemon salt at one point, too.

I ended up going with the Brazilian Steakhouse, because my roommate's eyes lit up at the sound of it. I now have a lot of things I want to try in the future, so thanks everyone!

Served with sauteed garlic spinach and a baked potato! (Partially eaten, because I forgot to take a picture beforehand)

@Spokeskitties75 that sounds good, almost like teriyaki
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti sorta... but not exactly.... good for chicken too
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Spokeskitties75 I think the best barbecue chicken I ever made was teriyaki boneless thighs....

Honestly, I'm kind of a purist. Salt a good half hour in advance before cooking, and near the end of cooking, throw in a chunk of butter near the end with some rosemary and a clove of crushed garlic and baste the steak with the browning butter to finish.

But I mean, Brazilian Steakhouse blend will be objectively delicious. So it's all good :D

If they look good just season with a little salt and pepper.
Simple and delicious.
Tracos · 51-55, M
Course pepper and salt and garlic butter
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@Tracos Ooh, I need to make some garlic butter some day.
Tracos · 51-55, M

@CountScrofula *Drops bottle, raises hands* It's not what it looks like! It's medicinal! For... my fries... that I was going to make!
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@FaeLuna See that you use one of those kid's plates with separators so the food doesn't mix. This is your last warning.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula Yes, officer! I will cease all food activities until this is remedied!
