Are chicken tenders common outside the US or is that mostly an American thing?

CountScrofula · 41-45, M
They're chicken fingers in Canada. If I think of chicken tenders, it's the actual cut of meat from the chicken breast which you may or may not bread and deep fry.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@BlueMetalChick Yeah. I'm sad I didn't go ice fishing this past year. Although it's 90% northern pike which is a... challenging fish to eat.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CountScrofula and a hell of a mean fish to catch
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@BlueMetalChick That part I like. But I like to eat what I catch and filleting those bony fuckers is misery.

Very common outside and probably invented in France. Just not called tenders. The ones the same size as your tenders would be called goujons, and larger ones escalopes.
lightningblue · 26-30, M
@BlueMetalChick im sure you can make it work
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@GlassDog Now that sounds like a winner.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@lightningblue I prefer mild rice vinegar with shark.

They are popular here at KFC but outside of that you don't really see them. I think you can get them frozen at supermarkets though.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User The frozen ones are the best cos then you can make them yourself and use high quality frying oil and organic breading so they’re tastier and not as greasy.

@BlueMetalChick Cool! yeah KFC aren't exactly known for their use of quality oil lol The home made ones sound nice to try though.

They normally get called chicken goujons here in UK
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Oh Yeah, I think I’ve heard that term before.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick I had to look up chicken tenders
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Yeah they’re a common snack here too.
What is chicken tender? Chicken breast or somekind of fillet?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@YukikoAmagi Yeah, it’s thin cuts of chicken breast that are breaded and fried.
@BlueMetalChick oooh.. i see i see. It's not very popular here. Neck, feet and skin are the common ones besides the usual meat
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@YukikoAmagi Chicken feet. Interesting choice.

Every pub up here has them, staple appy order “ strips and fries, pint of Canadian” I’ll have that engraved on my headstone 😆
They are a thing here though you're more likely to see chicken nuggets
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
We call those Zwei-zwei or Ugandan knuckle bladder.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus BRUDDAH
Yeah we have them and all different kinds of chicken preparations
I never really got into chicken tenders that much. It’s basically leftover chicken breast that’s breaded and fried...idk most of my friends are obsessed with raising Caine’s but I’d rather go to Popeyes tbh
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Insomniac100 I like white meat over dark meat so that’s why chicken tenders appeal to me.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick what about dank meat? 😂 Ewww
meemo70 · 51-55, M
They are common in the Middle East
