Almost 250 years (and counting), you revolutionary colonists! 🌷
And still a republic, still a democracy, and rapidly evolving. A country that increasingly deals with the dark sides of its own past, instead of pointing at others. A country where the "pursuit of happiness" is becoming a real possibility for more and more people, independent of gender, age or skin color. A country without which the whole world would long have become a terrible tyranny. A country where liberty (= political freedom) is highly valued by almost everyone.
You can be proud of yourselves, my American friends. And I am quite proud of you too.
