A few weeks ago we found out our neighbor's breast cancer came back. I dearly think the world of this lady. Down to earth mountain folks. Well, I cooked up a pot roast and veggies with a pecan pie to say.... "I care" We sat and visited for a spell, which was enlightening for my heart. We spoke of my husband's heart surgery on December 5th too... which was changed to January... her surgery was December 11th. 馃様
Wellll...on top of her own worries and stress, this awesome mountain woman brought us a wonderful meal couple days ago. 馃 It consisted of a roasted farm raised hen, stuffed with cornbread dressing and mashed potatoes AND peanut fudge 馃構
We have company now, our buddy has came here from NC to help gather wood with my husband. He is the one who was going to be here now for my husband's surgery...came anyway... huh.. Yesterday was THE day of my husband's surgery... wow...He will return in January again to house/pet sit for us.馃槍
The acts of kindness that we are receiving these days is such a blessing... a renewal of faith in people and how wonderful it feels to know... someone cares鉂ｏ笍
EDITED.... OH.. I forgot to show and tell what we received from a gentleman who runs our woods for training... he is a cross country runner who races thru out the year.
It鈥檚 called community and you are living it. By telling us about it, you are spreading it. I will pray for your husbands surgery in January. I coach cross country runners. You have no idea what allowing a runner to run on your trails means. Thank you. 馃檪
Hello@trackman11 Thank you. I believe in the power of prayer. Yes, the runner told us how good it is to run up, down thru the trails, great training. His dog, barking most of the time, runs with him, we hear them echoing thru the holler as he runs. 鈽猴笍

@Echoing Thanks for the heads up! That is a great picture for a mountain retreat. Things are good here as I have been too busy to let the weather get to me yet. My heart follow up is next week but I feel fantastic physically.
