I Work Even When I'm Not At Work

[c=#7700B2]ehh I'm starting to think I have got into the wrong field of work. Its so emotionally draining and is making me miserable being around people who are mentally ill and wanting to help them but there are so many stupid rules that help almost becomes impossible.
I go home every day from there feeling really sad. I don't know what to do[/c]

Mmm. Sounds pretty tough. As part of your training for your job, did you have stress management training I wonder, or techniques for maintaining boundares, or work/life balance? Sounds like you're in a caring profession, but also a very demanding one...

[c=#7700B2]nah never got any stress management training or anything like that. they do try teaching you how to approach some situations but its basically useless lol[/c]

Well I think a lot of corner-cutting has been done in recent years due to economic problems. I think there are stress management techniques that can definitely work. Might be worth having a look at some books or courses. Just a thought :) Hope you're getting some relaxation this Easter weekend?

[c=#7700B2]if things keep going that way I will definitely look into ways to deal with it. the day I posted this I just wanted to crawl in bed and never get out. was a bad day.

Yes, I know those days - when everything's just too much. My Easter weekend is going well, thanks - in a balanced way. Little bit of time off, little bit of chores :)
