I Work Even When I'm Not At Work

[c=#7700B2]ehh I'm starting to think I have got into the wrong field of work. Its so emotionally draining and is making me miserable being around people who are mentally ill and wanting to help them but there are so many stupid rules that help almost becomes impossible.
I go home every day from there feeling really sad. I don't know what to do[/c]

The healthcare system in the US is also broken. It has gotten to the point where doctors spend only 15 minutes with you at a visit, and it almost feels like they are robots just processing data against checklists. They don't actually see making you feel good as their job. It's not their job to optimize your health. Everything has become about diagnosing a "disease" (90% of which they can't cure anyway so what is the point) and about giving you an "approved" drug that the drug companies are overcharging taxpayers for. The average cancer drug in the US now costs over $100K / year. The whole system has become about big corporations looting, raping, and pillaging taxpayers, and doctors are all willing participants in the crime.

What I would do in your situation is look into alternative holistic mental health practices, focusing on nutrition and metabolism based diagnosis. If you contact me on PM I can send you a URL for one such practitioner in the US, just so you can get a feeling for how these practitioners are set up. Because they are running cash-only services for patients, they do not feel the chains put on them by insurance companies. It is the insurance companies, together with drug companies and medical licensing boards (that are just shills for drug companies), that have distorted the system. Alternative practitioners running cash-only services are able to act much more based on what the patient asks for and needs, because every hour of time is compensated.

What is it you want to do? Counseling?

nah I don't wanna do counselling. I'm not fit for that role I think.. I just wanna be there for support. I don't wanna deal with medications and stuff. doesn't seem to be how its turning out, but that is what I want[/c]
