I Believe In Courtship

Okay, just to leave it out there for the sake of those who've tried and failed to catch a girl's attention without realizing why. And girls, you're welcome to share your own experiences. :)

I just find it really odd that men I got to interact with in my country, strangers so to say who tried to make me notice them, appeared to have forgotten what chivalry or proper courtship should be like. It's like guys don't know how to court respectfully, not even sincerely anymore and it sucks, honestly.

For instance, I was in a store when there was this Chinese guy who came to me to ask to translate the words in his list of items. I helped him and returned to my own search. Then later on, he came to me again to ask some more, in which I helped him again. It appeared he wasn't very good in speaking in English or my language for that matter, and he basically just showed me the Instagram logo in his phone and asked me if I have one. I really find it so weird! This and many more.

Is it really so hard to ask someone her name (with NO whistling or catcalling involved)? Write poems or give her a flower to show her you're interested? Does it really always have to be a direct question inquiring of her social media account? Girls, back me up here. Seriously, is it really so much to ask for this?
