I Feel Uncomfortable

Because I'm a male over 50. Now don't get me wrong, I've fought to get to this age and I'm working on more. But here's why I feel uncomfortable. It's difficult to make friends online when you're an older male, in a lot of cases. I've never been close to my male friends and have always felt a closer connection to women.

But online, it feels like and I may be wrong, that if you're over 50, single and male and you talk to women, a lot think you're out for one thing and one thing only. So, I tend not to offer friendships on here or online a lot, leaving it to the other to make that move. That way they don't feel pressured by some old perv. lol

I'm a gamer, I tend to write WAY too long of entries and my opinions aren't always liked, but I try to understand others points of views, I try not to judge anyone and I do like making connections. No, this isn't a pity me, offer me friendship ploy, it's more like a "I need to get it off my chest" semi-rant.

For any who have read this, thanks.

I know the most engaging men over 50 here. I don't think they are here for one thing only. Some are available and looking, yes. I also find they are funny, loving, intelligent, and a whole host of other qualities. I think you are doing this the right way. You are working on you until you are ready for being with someone else. Bravo, Perditus. Let us know how it goes.

@PoetryNEmotion Thank you for those words, all I can do is try. Sounds so simple, but that's all any of us can do.
