I Am So Fed Up and Frustrated

I was diagnosed with a tumor on my pituitary gland. I'm not worried about it, but it's so Damn hard to find
a neurosurgeon that will do it! Call, leave a message, wait for them to call you back in a day or two to say, no we don't do that!

Yeah SweetEmotions it does make finding one difficult. I finally found one, not surprisingly he's booked way ahead. End of July appointment.

If you are in the states (or even if you're not) you could look into a hospital that also has a university like Duke or Emory.

wow.. so sorry.. it's a shame that so many physicians (not all) are in it for the profit more than saving humans.

Yes Dave. I want it to be removed. I hope you'll find a neurosurgeon soon.

I'm sorry for your frustration. Did they say why not?

hope you will be ok and recover nicely..

I'm sure I'll be fine, thanks SweetEmotions!

I have a friend who recently had a brain tumor removed at Duke. I could get the info if you'd like. She liked him a lot and found that the university affiliated hospitals are happy to take on rarer conditions. If you don't want to wait, or even for a second opinion.

Your welcome Dave

What about in other countries? Are they doing it? It would be difficult to ask those elsewhere, but what about the internet? Any inputs on such surgeries? Whether it's possible..is it necessary.. and stuffs?

I can understand your frustration. Pituitary tumor is rare. That’s what my doc told me. I can understand if you can’t easily find a surgeon who do this. I have pituitary tumor too. I hope you’ll find a surgeon soon.

You're welcome Diyanne.I assumed they just remove it everytime. I guess it's possible a neurosurgeon will want to do the same. I hope not, I want to get it over with. I bet you do too.

The impression I get is it's easier and more profitable to do spine work, so lots of them are just doing that now.

That's terrible Diyanne! I'm a 55 year old guy, so it's no big deal, but for a teenage girl to have that is a terrible th I ng#

Thank you Dave. I don't hv removal schedule. Doc said they are not going to remove it yet. But they want me to do mri every year.

Thanks HBY, I'm gonna just stick with my appointment and see what I think when I talk to the doctor.

Thanks Angel, I'll find one here, it's just a lot more of a pain to find one than it should be.

Thanks HBU, I am in the states, I have a doctor appoi6.

Diyanne, do you have removal scheduled?
