I Know Lots of Useless Information

How "Fast" is the Speed of Light?

Light travels at a constant, finite speed of 186,000 mi/sec. A traveler, moving at the speed of light, would circum-navigate the equator approximately 7.5 times in one second.
terarohana · 26-30, F
so, its about 300,000,000 m/s

so if i run at that speed i can touch my own back? 🤔

thats not useless..
just waait for the right time to use it.. may be it can help you some day.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
I have lots more where that came from. 😝
TexChik · F
There is nothing useless about knowledge , absolutely nothing ... power to ya👍
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Yay! Thank you. 👍🏼
SW-User
3 x 10^8 m/s if I recall my high school days correctly
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
I'm gonna trust you. 😋
Tminus6453 · M
What if i was standing on a planet 15 light years from earth and i looked back at earth with a very powerful telescope, would i see you walking around as a 5 year old?🤔
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@MalteseFalconPunch: Awwwww 🤗
Tminus6453 · M
@SimplyTracie: I was just givin food for thought🤓🙃
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Tminus6453: I almost choked. 😋
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
There once was a lady named Bright
Who could travel much faster than light
She left home one day in a relative way
And returned home the previous night.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
😫🤔
SoggedNapped · 31-35, M
But in water? Glass? Vacuum?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
👋🏼 Vacuum
SoggedNapped · 31-35, M
Vacuum... :) it's a word. .or lack of one... ;)
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SoggedNapped: 😂😂😂😂😂
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Be an engineer.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Living-wellish: Good, I want to be able to feature a story here. Go tell Nuno, Jessa and Andrew how to do that. Please.
🤗
Livingwell · 61-69, M
How to be an engineer? It's a lot of hard work and studying. And I still study every day.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Living-wellish: yeah. 🙁
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
how to open a beer bottle without a opener- would amaze most guys - what is your major - still in school??
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@ronisme1: What? 😂😂😂 You squeeze it in between my legs? 😝
SoggedNapped · 31-35, M

Supervixen · 22-25, M
My knowledge is even more useless. I can list all of the pokemons from generation 1 and 2. xD
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
No one knows. It might be important some day. 😝
emjaymj · 31-35, M
Its not good to be fast in everythin'
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
And other times you want it even faster.
emjaymj · 31-35, M
@SimplyTracie: You're okay to go fast. But fast of us men is not a good thing.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Now ask about Heisenberg's principal or quantum tunneling. 😉
SoggedNapped · 31-35, M
@SimplyTracie: See me now, or later.. ;)
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SoggedNapped: Darn. I missed that. I was gonna say that. 😞
SoggedNapped · 31-35, M
@SimplyTracie: You still can, there's time...
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
Here's a good one:

If you stayed immovable in one location for 1 second
how far away from your starting location would you be?
(This assumes ALL movement of the Earth, Solar System, Milky Way, and Universe)

@MalteseFalconPunch: 140 to 160 miles is the range I remember,
it was a long walk back!
luckily it wasn't UP!
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Dats right. Everyone slow down. 🙂
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
I know. Have you watched the movie Martian? They talk about light years. It's fascinating
SoggedNapped · 31-35, M
@SimplyTracie: sorry.. sleep well, be well... :)
😚🤗
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F

It's actually not true, but, it is for the most part. The speed of light can be slowed.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
You just rained ☔️ on my parade. 🙁

@SimplyTracie: but all it is, is worthless information that most people don't know...you should go for a try out anyway, you never know
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Booboo, I'm sure I would have to qualify. I'm not even smarter than a 5th grader. 😬
booboo · M
@SimplyTracie: whatever 🙄
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
join the club- that what 16 years of education does for you
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
I know lots a useful stuff too. 😝
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
like using a hanger to open your car up if you lock your keys in - saving a del taco cup (super large) and getting refills for .99 cents- ]'m just kidding - even though i know about the top two - please tell me your useful stuff - and i love the face with the tongue out.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Where would I start?
Tminus6453 · M
I was gonna say you posted this a couple weeks ago then i saw that this thread is a couple weeks old..😆... so nevermind
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Hahahah 😂😂
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Sorry, 186k feet per second.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Actually I screwed up, Mia culpa. It is 186K miles per second, I typed too fast, faster than my mind processed it! 😏
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@samueltyler2: Things move too fast around here.
It is miles per second. Some of the stars we see the light from are no longer there.
Tminus6453 · M
Im convinced Tracie is theee smartest SW'er🙏
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Awwww, liar 😂😂😂😂😂
Tminus6453 · M
@SimplyTracie: Its true!..Im weak in the knees and forever a slave to your 'useless information"🙇
AngelKrish · 26-30, M

olderguy2016 · 70-79, M
are you studying physics
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
Nope.
yeronlyman · 51-55, M
Wow no time for a movie 🎥 on that flight

Dang!
🤔 That's a lot of miles in just one light year.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Good for you.
