Don't feel bad WillH43. I too have a speech impediment. I stutter when I talk. Not all the time though. If I get excited about something, I have to stop talking, take a moment and try to relax. But I still stutter.
There was one instance fairly recently where I knew I was going to stutter, but I let all my air out, took a deep breath, and said the word without stuttering, and I was shocked. The thing I hate is when I talk face to face with others, and they start smiling, as if to make fun of it.
It's how I talk, I can't help it. So like at work, I wanted to page for someone over the speaker, but I didn't because the last thing I need is never ending stutter. It sucks having it, but when I talk to others, I try to take my time speaking, and not care if I stutter or not, because it's gonna happen.

It’s all about confidence in yourself. There are youtubers who have speech impediments and do quite well. There’s at least one with Tourette’s syndrome as well!
I dated a guy who had a speech impediment.
It was a stutter.
For the most part he managed by not being rushed when he was making a point.
& He did good. I never told him but I actually found it quite endearing.
Keep going your still fairly young so you'll find a way which works for you soon enough x

I have a friend like that. She still texts just fine though and I forget she even has it most of the time. Plus I like the way she talks. She has to talk slow but I think it's cute.

Be who you are if people can not accept you as you are they are not worth interacting with anyway
