I Have Gotten In Trouble At School
Whenever homework was due in, there would usually be at least half a dozen of us lined up for the slipper for not having it done.

@Birgit12 when i was at school, 50/60 era, if you failed to produce your homework, even once, no excuses were accepted, it was out the front, trousers and pants down and over the chair for two strokes of the cane from the teachers across the bare bottom. Mind you i was at a private all boys prep school and the cane was in constant use. Ehen i was a deputy one of the most common reasons for me having to use the slipper was for boys that had to report to my study at 4;15 for not doing homework. It was a standard punishment. If it was the first time they had to report that year it was two sharp whacks with the leather slipper across their underpants but if they had been before it was pants off and two on the bare bottom which stung nrearly twice as much.
