I Have Gotten In Trouble At School
Whenever homework was due in, there would usually be at least half a dozen of us lined up for the slipper for not having it done.

when I was at school if your homework was late you were called to the front and had to lower yrousers and pants and bend over in front of the class (all boys) and the teacher would administer 2 or 3 strokes on your bare bottom. Often you only had one night in which to do it and no excuses were accepted. NO homework in my day was a certain caning on the bare bottom. When I was deputy boys had a week to do homework. If they failed it was outside my office in just pants at 4;15. It was then two of the slipper. If it was their first whacking that year it was on pants, if not it was pants off and the bare bottom slippered. If they had to report for two pieces of homework not done it was four of the slipper. If it was the first time in trouble that year the first two whacks were on their pants and they then had to take them off and bend over again for two on the bare bottom for the other homework. Take it from me two whacks with a leather slipper on the bare bottom really stung
