I Love My Son
So Lucas is going to have to be in a wheelchair for a while, not just because he has lost his balance and is going go be extreamly dizzy but also if he has a seizure while he is standing he can really hurt himself if he falls he can hit and injure his head or spinal cord. He's going to be discharged in an hour, he's finally awake however his isn't aware or mentally responsive, he responds to physical contact though. I was rubbing his head and talking to him and he looked up at me and had this look in his eyes like he knew who I was. He obviously didn't understand a word I said but he heard me talking to him and felt me rubbing his head and saw me next to him. He's super drugged up on a ton of medications so I'll probably just put him in my bed as soon as we get home. It's easier to have him sleep next to me so if he wakes up in the middle of the night and needs something, I can comfort hijab man and he him what he needs, I mean he can't get up and get me, he doesn't know what his phone is much less know how to use it. He's been prescribed two types of seizure medicine, two sleep medications pain medication and muscle relaxers cause he has no control over his muscles right now and he's in pain from all the convulsing and involuntary activity. He can't talk right now either, instead he makes this weird deep throat breathing sound. He has rapid eye movemet right now and his pupils are huge and hes drooling a bit but the doctor said that's normal for patients who experience seizures. Right now his all I can do for him is keep him warm, make sure he's drinking enough and eating when he needs to, and keep him safe and comfortable, make sure he takes his medicine and gets plenty of rest. Hopefully the medicine will start kicking in in a few days. Merry Christmas everyone thank you to all your kind words and getures earlier they mean so much more than you can imagine to both lucas and me.
