I Love My Son

So apparently he has a condition called Status Elepticus which means he has multiple seizures in a short time period where he doesn't recover or come back to consciousness or it's longer than 5 minutes. He's experiencing some more brain damage due to all the brain activity damaging his brain cells and nerves and they are putting him on medication to try to calm the seizures down. They do believe all the emotional and psychological distress he's been experiencing and going through has contributed as well as the previous brain injury when he was 3 so, he's allowed to come home tonight as soon as the medicine kicks in and I'm going to have to bring him back early Monday morning so he can be monitored unless I don't see any slight improvement tomorrow then I have to bring him back in. I'm really greatful cause the Dr wanted to keep him to be able to watch him but after seeing and hearing everything he's been through these last couple of months he kind of feels for Luke and wants him to spend Christmas at home. All I can do now is keep him safe and warm and make sure he stays hydrated and fed, because dehydration and Not eating can cause his seizures to get worse as can his body temperature dropping and rising and feeling scared or stressed can trigger one as well. So he'll be home with me tomorrow thank you for all the prayers. I appreciate it.
