I Believe If You Want A Friend You Need To Be A Friend

I’m 100% sure I’m a good friend. However, correct me if I’m wrong but when it’s your best friends birthday do you ask them to celebrate it a different day, and then go on to say that you won’t get your gift for a month? I need new friends, or my expectations are just too high.

So it sounds like your friends don't treat your birthday with the reverence and respect they treat their own? As in, they blow you off on your birthday, say you will get together later, and your gift is late or never received?

Maybe they are poor and won’t have any money until that day? The best gift is being thought of and remembered regardless of anything material.
