I Have An Interesting Question

Someone posted something about polygamy, and it got me to thinking. In polygamist families, why do you never hear about or see one female with multiple husbands? It's always the other way around. Is there a religious reason for this?

It's called polyandry and yes there are many examples. You can easily find a wiki article on it and branch out from there for further research.

It was more of the ability for multiple women to breed so there would be enough workers in an agricultural society. Most religions allowed one wife but numerous concubines.

More likely a male-ego reason.

It would actually make more sense than one man with multiple women, since any healthy woman can wear out ten men in a single session if she wants.
