@SweetNSassy Since when does "living a little" involving infecting others? There is no sane justification for how you feel inconvenienced for taking sensible health precautions. @Jimmy2016 they don't directly prevent you from catching it, but stopping you from spreading it is exactly what they do do. And indirectly they therefore protect people as long as everyone wears one.

@SweetNSassy nobody is stopping you from living a little. The request is to live sensibly for the moment and limit the number of people you see.

@NerdyPotato 🤔...Then why do we have to limit the number of people we visit and shut down the entire social environment of mass gatherings of people if the masks are so effective. It should just be business as usual, then....imo

@Jimmy2016 because they aren't 100% effective. Neither is keeping distance or limiting contacts. But each measure helps and together they reduce it significantly.

Going back to business as usual is a horrible idea. After getting rid of the virus almost completely, we tried going back to almost normal in the Netherlands (still 6 feet distance but nothing else). The result: within 3 months the hospitals are so full doctors had to choose whom to help and whom to send home to die. Is that really what you want in your country?
