How much effort do you put into the unbelievers?

Had a rough discussion with my father, about my beliefs and his complete denial that this world's craziness will ever touch our backwoods town. I was actually offended. The time, money and effort I put into supplies for them completely unappreciated. How have you changed minds?

When you perform services for others because it is something YOU want to do, you should never expect thanks and appreciation. I know this from personal experience.

When you do something which you consider to be good for others, you are doing it because you care about them and you want them to survive.

If your parents know that you love them, and that you worry about them, that is really accomplishing your goal, which is protecting your family.

@4meAndyou we'll just have to agree to disagree. This was a loving gesture I wanted to do and in return had my lifestyle spat upon.

I make no effort to change minds of family, friends or strangers.
It's an exercise in futility

you are going to deny and fault others for not following your opinion. what can anyone say then?
Powderflask · 31-35, M
@cycleman see that's the problem I guess I started with. Maybe not so much about acceptance as gratitude, not sure

Anyone with different ideas to you is worth listening to for a while at least. They might change your mind.

None. Other people aren't my responsibility.
