I Am A Doomsday Prepper

I actually found out a fellow prepper works in my department, so as we conversed about wood fired water tanks my usual lunch buddy had said "this is like a game to y'all?" He compared it to the people who get obsessed with tv like game of thrones or the walking dead. I'm beginning to believe a lot of people who are not of the survival mindset have just never been forced into those situations.

The ex used to hoard food in our basement but he had no idea of proper storage. Our home became infested with mice who came after the cases of Ramen Noodles he left out for them. It really took a LOT to get rid of the mice, and then clean and sterilize everywhere they had been.

@Powderflask He could have put the noodles inside 5 gallon drywall buckets and sealed them, but he didn't.
