I Have Tinnitus

[youtube=https://youtu.be/SoJF2wBISP0]

What the world sounds like when I'm trying to sleep (not that loud though, turn it down to low volume for maximum realism).

It can be quite annoying, and I wish there was a cure.

@minarth008 I can tune it out most of the time, but the damn high-pitched one is always there, like it's the soundtrack to my life.

@SW-User The same goes for me, the high pitched is quite annoying. I can tune it out as well, but it seems to be harder to tune out in a quiet room. I think we need more distractions so as not to dwell on it. How did you get yours? I got mine from loud music in headphones, and being around jets in my 20's.

@minarth008 actually I think it came from aspirin toxicity from trying to control my migraines for years; I did listen to music pretty loudly when I was young but not more than any other teenager.

I like to have background noise that drowns it out to some extent, in a completely silent room it's just deafening.

@SW-User Wow.. that sucks, sorry to hear that, migraines do suck. I listened to music for hours on end, and quite loud too, either with headphones or in a car. So I know that is where most of mine came from. I also worked around F-16's for several years, ad those are quite loud as well.

I agree white noise is very important, or the ringing will just take control. I see all these scams that say they will cure it, but if I go to legit sites, they say there is no cure. Who knows, maybe someday.
