I Hate the World We Live In

I won't lie to myself about it - I do feel condescension toward people who don't think for themselves. I think that it's a low and ugly way to be, and I'm grateful that, for better or for worse, my natural instinct is to think for myself. I think that sheep are usually happier, and I honestly envy them too. I'd love to be happier, even if I hurt the world by doing it. But whether I like it or not, my eyes are too open for that to ever be my path again.

Large groups are by their very nature self serving and narcissistic, with responsibility so widely spread around that almost no one really feels any sense of responsibility for their own actions, because they can always pass the buck up, down, or sideways along the chain of command. And it's from these inevitably unethical, narcissistic, self-serving large groups that sheep get their marching orders. And then they just mindlessly follow along and add to all the problems in the world.

How you internalise the world, is all in you.
When you are at home in you, then how others behave or act, won't have you be swayed in any way. You are your home, then work on you.

Interesting post. Maybe these two groups serve each other a purpose though??without sheep the narcissists would get angrier and more destructive and without narcissists the sheep would feel alone and helpless

Yeah, and without bullets murderers would start beating their victims with their guns instead of shooting them. And without psychopaths, overpopulation would be infinitesimally worse. Can you see that I'm being angrily sarcastic here? No good is served by adding to the strength of deluded, egoic monsters who pathologically have no regard for the rights or lives of others.
