I Hate the World We Live In

People with a particular agenda love to create labels and wrap them around the people that they don't like. It's a way of taking subjective opinion and turning it into a pseudo-objective justification for dehumanizing people. Japs, ni---rs, cis, this new "deplorables" bullshit - they're all just externally created derogatory labels designed to knock the people that they're targeting down a peg and justify despicable actions against them - because they're not really human to you anymore, they're just a label. This label is ugly and doesn't apply to me, but it applies to them, which means that they're "them," which is bad, as opposed to being "us," which is not bad, and therefore good.

I wonder if it's even possible for a day to come where the human race finally stops doing the same evil shit, wrapped in different veneer, again and again and again.
