I Have Eczema

Going through topical steroid withdrawal is so much worse than the eczema itself! I'm 5 months into detoxing. Anyone else fall into this awful fallacy that steroids are a suitable treatment for skin ailments? What a painful lesson to learn!

i stopped with the steroids when i stumbled across a few things that work for me. You're dead on, the steroid treatment is pretty shit!
@nahright09 what worked?

@Justafantasy it sounds crazy but i pretty much lather up with Ivory soap (bar not bodywash), let it sit on my skin till i start to feel burning, rinse and repeat. It doesn't stop the eczema from popping up again but it kills what i do have in a few days. Everything starts drying up!
@nahright09 looking for something for my kids

@Justafantasy are they using a gentle scentless soap? that can certainly help
@nahright09 yes, we have tried many different, soaps and creams. Some eczema specific some not. Nothing seems to help, it gets a little better some times and worse others. The cream mainly stops the itching it seems

@Justafantasy awww man sorry to hear. Anything diet related possibly?
@nahright09 tried taking almost everything out, gluten, milk, eggs, meat,dairy. Still completely random on when it gets worse. Tried the steroid briefly to, isn't something i want my kids using

@Justafantasy yeah for sure...long term use is no good. Hopefully something sorts itself out soon...really sorry to hear man.
@nahright09 thanks, they are young so we have no idea how any of this works best
