I Have Eczema

Going through topical steroid withdrawal is so much worse than the eczema itself! I'm 5 months into detoxing. Anyone else fall into this awful fallacy that steroids are a suitable treatment for skin ailments? What a painful lesson to learn!

i stopped with the steroids when i stumbled across a few things that work for me. You're dead on, the steroid treatment is pretty shit!
@nahright09 tried taking almost everything out, gluten, milk, eggs, meat, dairy. Still completely random on when it gets worse. Tried the steroid briefly to, isn't something i want my kids using

@Justafantasy yeah for sure...long term use is no good. Hopefully something sorts itself out soon...really sorry to hear man.
@nahright09 thanks, they are young so we have no idea how any of this works best

I was on Prednisone pills and shots once for treatment of a skin condition. It nearly drive me insane, I was so ill that my dog didn't even want to be around me, and I was constantly looking for a fight. After two weeks, I stopped treatment, and didn't sleep much at all for the next month.

@Notanymore I used them topically, (hydrocortisone) on and off for 10 years and I am paying dearly for it!

@AnarchoMetalchic I'm really sorry for that
What cream were you using and for how long?
AnarchoMetalchic · 41-45
@InOtterWords Hydrocortisone. Used it on and off for about 10 years.
