I Am a Hunter

Growing up , remembering my first dove hunt at eight years old , on the High line canal in Brawley CA two weeks after graduating the NRA Youth Safety Course with 99/100 ..Id never have dreamed I'd grow to have as much passion for the sport as I do now.

I have taken Deer Turkey Quail Dove Duck Alligator Antelope and all types of small game. And do so every year.

I still plan to pursue :

Elk

A Kodiak Brown Bear

Bighorn Sheep

And my Dream Hunt ...An African Lion on an "Old World style" Big game hunt. With boar bait and native guide. No protected jeep hunts here.

For me it's not only about the meat and trophies. Its a truly spiritual experience going back to a time long gone. When men were pure and nature was untamed. Its the last good thing on an ever shrinking earth.

I think my Dad ...wherever he is in heaven would be very proud.

I've really wanted to start hunting (except lions lol.. I like cats their my favorite animal.) I'm looking to being more primal in general. I can get wild game meats here but it's expensive. I don't know anyone that hunts that can teach me to process my own food but I would love to. Hunting is sort of a skill that one does for years and I don't have that skill or know anyone.

I can imagine it's fun and you have your own meat for all year too. I would save every part including the heart and liver.

@Spartan1 And what farmers feed them lmao.. I heard they were trying to feed them skittles now and then mad cow disease happened because farmers thought it was a great idea to feed cows with other cows. I'm like it doesn't work when humans eat other humans so.... like legit.. that's crazy.

@SatanBurger Or employing foreigners that shit in the same produce fields they harvest ...
"Its a truly spiritual experience going back to a time long gone. When men were pure and nature was untamed."
Nothing against hunting, but I don't think the kind of rifle you're holding there existed when men were pure and nature was untamed. 😁

@IAmJess Shotgun. And basic birdguns have been around since the blunderbuss. There's nothing impure about using a scattergun. So please don't troll my posts with uneducated insults. Thank you 👍
@Spartan1 Sorry was not intending to come across as a troll. I don't know much about guns, that is true, but I do know a little. And the pic right above here shows a gun with a rifle scope. I don't know what kind of gun it is, but I know it's not a shotgun. Both my grandfather's loved hunting and I intended my comment to be funny, nothing more.

@IAmJess The last pic is my stepfather. A great man who taught me to hunt and Taught me A lot about life. That's cool. I too apologize for being defensive. But with the sport under increasing attack today and some of the users here ...i tend to be on guard. No harm. No foul. If you're serious and interested to learn. I can teach you whatever you'd like to know 😁😁😁
