Political correctness has invaded philosophy too

I would have liked to study more about Confucius or Lao Tzu, for instance, and they should be included in the syllabus, but this is simply both ridiculous and an outrage.

Not surprised at all by that. I am pretty sure that many of the students that demand that are non-white themselves. They hate the West and its people. Do you follow what is happening at universities in South Africa?

I am disgusted to see how everything now seems to revolve around race, gender and quota. Bloody identity politics are proven really destructive.

@Cierzo: That is the logical outcome a diverse society. In a multi-ethnical or multi-racial society people will vote according to their ethnicity or race. That's the way it is. If you want ideology policits (conseratives, liberals, socialists and so on), then have a homogenous society.

Some black students there want to "decolonise" their universities and are demanding the removal of statues of white men like Cecil Rhodes. Some students even demanded that science must be dropped from the curiculum because it is Western and not African.

@Mugin16: That's why I support ethnostates. These SA students should better have their own state,community or whatever when they can only study African disciplines. And leave the rest of us alone.

@Cierzo: I agree regarding ethnostates. As somebody said: "Ethnically homogenous states are carved out of multi-national empires." See Austria-Hungary, the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia and lots of other examples further back.

Admittedly, South Africa is now the country of these black students and they will take over the universities there. Of course if they prefer African witchcraft over European/Western science, their country will go to hell but that is their choice.
