I do not agree...ie Nietzsche the notion of the Superman.
Alchemy5150 · 41-45, M
@okaybut The Nietzsche Superman concept is unethical in that rather than adhere to consistent, rational values, such a person would simply create their own which would coincide with their will to power. This is not surprising since Nietzsche rejected the concept of reason in favor of will. This does not disprove the concept of rational, universal ethics, it simply illustrates that Nietzsche's philosophy rejected such concepts. And history has show the consequences of adherence to such thinking.

@Alchemy5150 Would you not say that Ethics while shared is a negotiated and agreed upon construct?

No worries. Ethics are difficult. I'm a student of them myself and many of the concepts are hard to wrap your head around sometimes.

Lol so...Objectivism, Utilitarianism, Pragmatism, Consqeuentialism etc were all the products of people who just wanted to wanted others to think they were smart. Of course this would include Aristotle who was the author of Nicomachean Ethics.

Nope. Ethics have nothing to do with philosophy at all...because you say so.

@yllacsar Hmmm...I imagine you have not read any moral philosophy...you idiot. It is one of the central themes of Philosophy and Myth...the consequences or our thoughts and actions.
