Why do I stay when he consistently beats the heck outta me?

He could be having a bad day at work and literally comes home and smashes my face in. It gets really overwhelming and I want to leave but I'm scared what he'll do if I tried.

@Rose0415 he's got eyes all over the neighborhood where we live and he's chalked me up to being unstable to the neighbors so they'll always call him if they see me planning an escape.

@StayUP You know, he is probably just trying to instill fear into you so he can keep you under his control. It sounds like he is trying to hold you hostage. You have every darn right to get out of there if you need to, which you definitely do. Don't let him keep you hostage.
