I Am Not Ashamed of Sexuality

Sex, desire for sex is natural, but there are those who just take and abuse, and leave a vacuum behind them.

My sister says like it or not my father has probably had to piecemeal an arrangement so I may be married, and there's no telling what concessions he may have had to make just because at age twelve I was set upon by several migrants and raped!

Sitting last night and thinking about that consequence has filled me with a sense of dread, not for myself, but for my father, the humiliation he may have felt having to negotiate this marriage with such a handicap.

I am saddened to have caused him this pain by the circumstances which befell me.

Sorry - I come from a completely different world where there is no such thing as arranged/negotiated marriages by parents for their children. So I have no understanding of the benefits for you as an independent individual with the natural capability to make decisions. So sorry to hear about the abuse you suffered when you were so young - but please don't be sad for others for such a terrible event in your life - I wish you all the best for the future.

I can well understand your feelings having been through the agony of rape myself at a very young age. I'm also familiar with the process of arranged marriages as I have two Muslim friends who will soon be married by arrangement. It's their tradition and if they're happy with it, what's the problem? It's only when there's a forced marriage which they don't agree with that I have concerns.

I'm quite sure your father is a shrewd negotiator and has overcome any disadvantage your misfortune has caused him.

Everything will work out well.

Hi, and welcome to the 21st century! Was it a long journey from the 7th century?! Are you tired? Do you need a refreshing drink of "wake up and smell the coffee" coffee? 🤷‍♂️

@ninjavu
How those of ill wit mock what they have no experience of and think themselves smart for doing so! Is this notislamophobia?

@AhBalsic Are you Muslim? I didn't realise, but I can see how you'd make the connection with my reference to the 7th century. No, actually the problem I have is called dumasaphobia. I am more familiar with your line of chronologically retarded thinking than you imagine.
