Do you rely on your own strength? [I Ask]

Or that of others?
4meAndyou · F
I really don't feel very strong, all the time...(tendonitis in my right wrist and a weak and painful hand because of that). So, because I can't really rely on other people, I googled how to open jars that won't open, (a pair of rubber kitchen gloves!), and I use dollies and carts to carry things that are beyond me. Then I use my legs to push or kick things that are so heavy they would injure my back.

I have found that preparation in advance really helps. I just tucked a 21 and 1/2 lb turkey into the oven, and I didn't even need my wrist brace!

The question is purely situational. For most of my life I have relied on my own physical strength to overcome mass or things related to it.
In terms of mental strength, my thought is that, that all began at the knee of my parents. "Train up a child..."

Just my own for it's what always remain.

@SW-User in the end. You only have yourself. Build upon your strength so you never have to rely on anyone again

@SolGryn True"
SolGryn · 31-35, M
@SW-User yep
Yeah most of the time. Sometimes when I need to talk things out, I would bottle it in which would makes things worse so I would just talk in out. Sometimes I want to give up, but I tell myself to keep trying. I was taught to finish what I start and get it together. Gotta be tough.

@CraftyMarieArts build upon your own strength and what other tell you will no longer matter
@SolGryn So true

@ABCDEF7 true strength is in oneself

I do rely on my strength but when I have panic attacks I feel powerless and rely on my family to show me support.
SolGryn · 31-35, M
@assemblingaknob I wish you the best with that. ;)
