@PepsiColaP He wasn't. He wasn't really a Labour man, he was a Tory in disguise. At least the other Tories, despicable as they were, were honest about it.
@Thesebootsaremadeforwalking he was though he did fund many public projects especially healthcare and education wise . I'm not saying he was the greatest to have ever been PM I'm merely making a comparison to Thatcher ,Cameron and May. And he did point out at the start if the Eurocrisis that Germany would be wise to underwrite any debts owned by other members,which ofcourse they didnt ,and ended up severely draining weak economies like Greece with austerity . His economics were in my books one of the most well calculated ,regardless of other ethics
@Thesebootsaremadeforwalking domestically he was fully within the Labour social democratic tradition in the mould of Wilson or Callaghan. Abroad, unlike Wilson who kept the UK out of Vietnam, he was intoxicated by US neocons.
