I'm so sorry... It is unimaginable how hard it must be to lose all that... I wish you two the best of luck with the ALS.

@Crossdress4Life Thank you, wish luck did any good with this disease though

I feel your pain my friend, My father has primary progressive MS so i too know the struggles of watching a loved one lose virtually all ability to move or any sense of independence.

Your a good man for sticking it out. Real man you are, most would just cut all ties and run.

@Teggy my mum has parkinson and it is soul destroying to see her lose her finger grip balance etc
@TechniCoIorBroccoli it's absolutely devastating knowing that there's pretty much nothing you could possibly do either as a loved one.

@Teggy When you really care about someone, you step up, no questions asked.

Yes. In some ways it's tougher on the caregiver. I was my late wife's caregiver for the last 15 years of her life. It wasn't ALS, but a variety of things, with diabetes being the major one. Its difficult to watch someone you love go down hill and suffer and you can do nothing to stop it or make it better. You do what you can, but it's never good enough. Things just keep progressing and life becomes more and more miserable for your loved one. Its hard, very, very hard. But if you truly love the person, it's worth it.

I care for my mother the same why you do your wife
Awww... I'm sorry for you both. God is testing you, so always be there for her. Sometimes it's our Karma from the past birth(as per my beliefs).
Be a good husband and you will get your joyful dues when the time comes. 🤗
