Any original D.M. fans out there?

I'm talking about the original Doctor Marten boots, before the company flip flopped on their values and sold the company to an evil buyer who employs slave labor.
Doc Marten boots were produced for the working class, English bobbies and factory workers and even posties wore them, they were strong and affordable. Now they've pretty much sold out and gone to hell.
I'm still enjoying my original D.M.s. And when they wear out, there's that choice. To replace or not. Would you?

I have two pairs pre-sellout. Black and cherry red. The black ones have studs and Blakey's segs and are wonderful on ice when you dig the studs in.

I've glued tiny doll's eyes on the front rubbery bit.

I had a pair that lasted four years.

Comfy as fuck but really shit on icy pavements.

Mine are going on fifteen years, I had them re-soled and they're still going strong. And yes, they aren't so good on ice.

Dr Martens are the best!
I got my first pair in 1991, with roses embroidered on them. I still have them, but my brother bought me an Adventure Time pair with Jake the Dog, for my birthday this year.

@bijouxbroussard: I've instructed my family to bury me in my boots.
@Cavedweller: I understand. These are what the Jake ones look like, I haven't had the nerve to wear them out yet.
