Poll: True or False: People who say they are honest people are usually the biggest liars.

I tend to immediately suspect that, but I don't have information suggesting the general pattern goes one way or the other. I imagine it also varies a lot with local culture.

Depends on context. If they say it trying to win someone over, probably they’re lying. But honest people are aware that they are honest too

False...both honest and dishonest people usually say that they are honest. Dishonest people are far less likely to admit being dishonest

I give people the benefit of the doubt until they give me reason not too
