I may have the chance to move to Phoenix Arizona in a year

Should I do it? 🤔

Yes I know it's hot. But I am currently living in east Texas where it's 115° in the summer with 100% humidity...I'll take a dry heat any day!

I would be living with a friend rent free so I would be able to earn a much higher pay wage than I could here, and almost 100 percent of it would be money I could save or spend. It would really help me get on my feet, and get me the hell out of Texas.

I think if you really want out of texas it is a good idea for you. but to be realistic living free is just an expression, thinking you will be able to live free for any extended length of time is unrealistic. there is always a price. but that being said it may help you to get on your feet in the short term and once on your feet you may be able to stay on them.

@looking4thesun I get what you're saying. My friend in AZ owns his own house and has no mortgage payments (only yearly property taxes and monthly utilities), so he says I can stay there rent free for as long as I need to to get on my feet. I wouldn't be living there forever, I would be working toward my own place.
