"Strict parents make sneaky children"

Agree or disagree?

I'm inclined to agree. My parents were not strict at all so I never felt a need to sneak around or rebel. But all of my friends who had strict parents were wild and sneaky af!
You're right. One of the first things I observed about staying away from home, in a college dorm, was that all those kids who were denied stuff growing up were the brattiest.

I, otoh, wasn't that closely monitored by my parents, so I felt more obliged to be the ideal child that they can be proud of. I didn't want to break their trust in me.
@SageWanderer Ironic, rt? Poor parents...

@Vivaci This was late 60’s and a girl from such a family got a surprise visit from her parents one afternoon. She was wearing a borrowed mini skirt and no bra when they arrived. Needless to say they packed her up and took her home.
@SageWanderer 😑 I've known many parents of daughters move countries just to save their daughters from that kinda life.

I learned to lie at an early age. I still lie a lot. The Internet is a great place for lies!

Agree too much restriction can lead to rebellion
