Tell him to Skype you. Tell him to send you photos to your phone of Rome. In this day in age, you can still keep communications wide open. It's just doing it that's the hard part. If you don't have a phone, ask your mom if she can setup Skype on hers. It's free and a wonderful platform to keep connected.
