I Want to Get Married

I really want to get married but my bf and I can't even think of that yet because he is still married. Recently it was 6 years of being married for him, they've been split for 4 years and 2 of those were with me. He always says he'll get a divorce and the next payment he gets will go towards it but he hasn't been saving any money up. We've lived together for almost a year and a half now and I have so badly wanted to propose to him but he doesnt want to get engaged after his divorce is finalised, which I understand. How can I stop thinking about marriage?, its driving crazy.

Are you surrounding yourself with a lot of married couple? or get wedding magazines, etc etc? I know one of my gfs was like that and it was driving her mad.

@Dreamprojector: I think the pinterest might have something to do with it, you check it every day I assume? so it is like planted in you. Have you ever wondered why exactly do you really wanna get married? I know... you probably are gonna say "the heck? of course I wanna get married, I love this guy" :)

I feel ready for married life but maybe it's because its something I can't have right now, who knows when my bf gets divorced, I might not want to get engaged to him?

A lot of times, it is because we are in love and in want with the idea of us preparing for the wedding, the excitement and the fact that you will be the queen of the day... of course this is perfectly normal. The wedding day is beautiful and supposed to be glorious.

Getting married is simple, living the marriage life is another story. I am so glad you are willing to assess yourself and not getting offended. That means my message came across. I am sure you would make an amazing wife, when the time is right and when you know for certain this is exactly what you want.

Good luck with your bf... if you think about it, you both are pretty much married already! :)

Ps: oh yea, damn pinterest indeed! Lol
