thanks Opagem,l'm glad you came up with this forum.
This album was a strong return to the experimental sounds of early AHC recordings, some of the most mind-bending percussive adventures I've ever heard. They have justreleased a new set-"Voodoo of the Godsent" as part of the On-U sound 30th anniversary celebration.Adrian Sherwood and his many collaborators have been very consistantly expanding the parameters of sound since 1981.
I enjoy all of the HeadCharge sessions, from far,far off the beaten track, but often most highly recomend "songs of praise" a timeless fusion of African, dub, gospel and sci-fi studio treatments.
the heartbeat is the rhythm of life, heartfelt drumming taps into our inner spirit vibrations.
Master practicioners like Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah know this on a deep level and share it from the heart and soul. drumming is a language much older than words!
