I Escaped Jehovah's Witness Cult But Healed Slowly After

I've never been in the JWs. But I have heard a lot of bad things about them and right now, I am trying to persuade a close friend not to become involved with them. They got to her right after her husband died and she was lonely.

IT IS A CULT!! My cousin is one and even gave them the money to build a center. He is strange. They shun people and are cheap. They won't give presents but gladly accept Christmas bonuses, any money you are willing to give them and not call a gift they will take. If she wants to end her loneliness tell her to take up bocce ball or join arts and crafts or take piano lessons.

@Quietrumble: We are not a cult. 🙄
That's good, he contributed to our organization so that we can continue building our churches I take it?
What exactly do you mean with cheap?
We shun people who actively go against the bible laws, as it is said in the bible
1 Corinthians 5:13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”
We simply follow the bible scriptures as true christians.
We do not take part in any pagan holidays, that includes birthdays; This is forbidden in the bible, as it's described as unclean.
What exactly do you mean with "any money you are willing to give them and not call a gift they will take"? Do you mean as in a paycheck? because yes we do like getting a paycheck after working, such as any human being here on earth.
