do you ever find yourself hoping that someone you dont like has died?

Tumbleweed: I had a family member that was like that. She was playing games using her health to control family and did it for a decade. I went over every weekend to clean and do laundry and bring her things she needed. One day I looked over by the side of her bed and she had been spitting out medication that the nurse was giving her onto the floor. I figured out she was making herself sick because every time I told her I was going to take some vacation days (and just to stay home and rest) she'd end up in the hospital...wondered how she did it till I found the medicine. I also figured out if I didn't tell her when I was going to take my vacation that she wouldn't go into the hospital, and ended up actually going somewhere, and calling her after I got there. That caused her to be very spiteful to me because she couldn't play her game and she'd sit and glare at me when I'd come back to help her. There were times I'd go over and she'd be getting around OK and then the home health nurse would drive up and she'd start moaning and limping around when she came in the house. I can understand your feelings although I never wished her dead, just wished she'd stop all that crap and she ended up in the nursing home eventually. Good grief it's hard to deal with people like that.

Sometimes wishing someone dead is too easy for them...my father killed my mother and towards the end of his miserable life after having a heart attack and later a stroke I wished he would live to be 100 years old and have to sit and think about the trail of crap that he left every place that he went, and he was a frequent mover, he learned moving to different states was one way he could get out of being prosecuted for things.

Tumbleweed: Thank you and yes she was. I have a sister who is that way and her daughter is too. The more I did for her (and my sister) the worse they treated me...till I had to put my foot down. I don't even go around my sister any more and she lives about 2 miles from here.

Yes. He makes himself sick, refusing to take care of himself in any way and wanting my mom to do everything for him, and everyone in my family has just started hoping he doesn't make it. Awful as that is, I don't feel bad for that.

Cherokeepatti, sorry you had to go through that. It's narcissists. They're so crazy and messed up. They put their own well-being at risk just to have a hold over others. I can't wrap my head around it but I don't even want to understand people like that.
Its a bad habit of mine. One that makes ashamed of myself. I wish people dead.
