I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

A calamity that makes me turn to God is better for me than a blessing which makes me forget the remembrance of God.

[Quran 65:7]
"God will create ease after hardship."
When going through a hardship, if we turn to God and push ourselves to be patient, sooner or later we’ll see how that hardship was actually a blessing. There are moments in life that no human being can undergo, unless they are fully reliant on God and certain of His protection, regardless of how much strength, endurance and perseverance has already been given them. For in life there are moments that take all of these things by storm, and only those stay standing who were given surety through the remembrance of God.
[Quran 13:28]
"Only with the remembrance of God do hearts find surety."
So I may live in this world, and have all the goods and possessions of deception that anyone could dream of, but have completely failed at the object of my existence. And if the object of my existence is, as God tells us, only to serve Him,
[Quran 51:56]
"I did not create the jinn and the humans except to worship Me."
Then it would follow that only that which brought me closer to that end, would be a blessing, while that which took me away from that end would be the greatest calamity – no matter what those things were. And so it may be that the loss of everything dear to me is in fact the greatest blessing from God. If that loss brings me closer to the very purpose of my creation, what greater blessing could there be?

God will help us get through this, if we remember Him.

I do believe the purpose of Man is to worship God.

@Madeleine I don't need to know it. I know others who do know it very well and when I show them the word they translate it literally as 'deceiver'. How about you do a little research and do a comparison between Jesus and mohammed. Look at their character traits and the lives they led then get back to me on which person you think is the better and more reliable person. Try to get away from your prejudices and simply look at the lives led and the character of each.

@hippyjoe1955 I know Arabic very well, and I studied the life of prophet Muhammad and prophet Jesus (peace upon them) and I take them both as my role models.

@Madeleine The experts I talked to were native Arabic speakers who were raised muslim but since became Christian. I believe them when they say the allah is the great deceiver as is written in quran.

@Madeleine No it is an ongoing fight. And it has been for 1400 years. islam follows a murderer and worships him. Sad.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Madeleine allah is satan. he is the father of lies and you have fallen into his trap. pity.

@hippyjoe1955 Allah gave Adam free will and that came with the ability to sin, but also the ability to choose to worship our Creator. Allah knows our nature, so He is not surprised when Adam sinned.

@Madeleine Nope once a sinner always a sinner. You can't unring the bell. Adam sinned and fell from his position and took with him all his descendants
@Madeleine Really? Let's look at scripture on that. He didn't teach the concept of Trinity?

1 John 5:7 - "For there are three that bear record in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one."

You are teaching false doctrine. No...you like people to think your beliefs are the same as the followers of Christ, but, they are not. You do not even believe that Jesus died on the cross to save people from their sins. You just think that he was a mere prophet and good man.
@Madeleine There's an answer in God's word for every bit of that. I can answer those questions but I do not have time right now. I will have to get back with you on that. But then again, what would be the point because I believe no matter what, we will end up agreeing to disagree, so we'll just leave it at that. Thanks for your comments.

@LadyGrace I appreciate your comments very much. We don't have to agree to love one another. I wish you all the best and may God guide both of us to the truth. Amen.
@Madeleine Amen, that is exactly right, Madeline. I really appreciate your kindness and love you, too. My goodness, if everyone had to agree with each other in order to love each other, this would be a very sad world. 😆 Feel free to write me anytime, dear.

@Sydney it speaks to her inner qualities.

@CopperCicada May you explain please?
@Madeleine in my mind, the measure of a person's spiritual discipline is their inner qualities. love, patience, tolerance, compassion, ethics. and so on.

i have watched you very sincerely share your faith and be positive, patient, and tolerant in the face of sometimes very ugly attacks.

i find it somewhat ironic.

remove the references to the quran (and jinn, that's culturally specific)... and what you write, together with your demeanor-- who could object?

just my cicada's view.
Madeleine, do you live in the United States? Just curious.
