I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

A calamity that makes me turn to God is better for me than a blessing which makes me forget the remembrance of God.

[Quran 65:7]
"God will create ease after hardship."
When going through a hardship, if we turn to God and push ourselves to be patient, sooner or later we’ll see how that hardship was actually a blessing. There are moments in life that no human being can undergo, unless they are fully reliant on God and certain of His protection, regardless of how much strength, endurance and perseverance has already been given them. For in life there are moments that take all of these things by storm, and only those stay standing who were given surety through the remembrance of God.
[Quran 13:28]
"Only with the remembrance of God do hearts find surety."
So I may live in this world, and have all the goods and possessions of deception that anyone could dream of, but have completely failed at the object of my existence. And if the object of my existence is, as God tells us, only to serve Him,
[Quran 51:56]
"I did not create the jinn and the humans except to worship Me."
Then it would follow that only that which brought me closer to that end, would be a blessing, while that which took me away from that end would be the greatest calamity – no matter what those things were. And so it may be that the loss of everything dear to me is in fact the greatest blessing from God. If that loss brings me closer to the very purpose of my creation, what greater blessing could there be?

God will help us get through this, if we remember Him.

@Madeleine Really? Let's look at scripture on that. He didn't teach the concept of Trinity?

1 John 5:7 - "For there are three that bear record in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one."

You are teaching false doctrine. No...you like people to think your beliefs are the same as the followers of Christ, but, they are not. You do not even believe that Jesus died on the cross to save people from their sins. You just think that he was a mere prophet and good man.

@LadyGrace I never claimed to believe in the Christian doctrine. I'm Muslim and I'm a firm believer that God doesn't have a son. As for [John 5:7], it was removed from many Greek manuscripts as a fabrication.
@Madeleine Not at all. I don't put my confidence in man. I put it in God. That's the big difference. Man is not smarter nor wiser than God. When he gets the idea he is, that's when he fails.

It is the extreme religions that is the problem. Religion is man-made philosophies. That's why they don't work. Even the great evangelist, Billy Graham, attests to Christians being called upon by the Lord, to spread the good news of the saving grace of Jesus, so all will know where their salvation comes from.

In religions, you have man creating his own God. That's idolatry.
In religion, you have man trying to earn his salvation by "good works".
While Jesus tells us it is only by grace through faith, that we're saved.
No other religions have a living God, that hears prayers and answers.
In addition, none of the other gods died on the cross for our sins. Jesus did.
In religions, there is rhetoric or rituals that have to be closely adhered to.
Other religions are about man trying to reach up to God.  Christianity is about God reaching down to man.

Religions fail us every time. I follow no one but Christ, because my faith stems from him, not man. Christian just means follower of Christ, not some religion, which is as He meant it to be.

The determining factor of one's authentic faith relationship with God is not one's denomination, religious practice or performance in Christian disciplines, but rather the presence of the indwelling Spirit of Christ. As it is written, “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. (Rom.8:9)

@LadyGrace So you believe that someone who commits sins and claims to believe that Jesus died for his sins will enter heaven.
@Madeleine This takes a lot longer reply than I have time to write. It's much more detailed than that. If you want to know what I believe, please feel free to read all my reports under my profile, which state what I believe about Jesus and how to go to heaven.

@Madeleine You don't? So how do you plan on putting your sins behind you?
@Madeleine Jesus said we are all sinners. We were all born with sin. Sin is what separates us from God the Father.

1. Man sinned, separating him from God forever.
2. All of man's efforts, could not reconcile him to God.
3. Jesus, therefore, reached down from heaven and provided a way for us to have our sins forgiven, and fellowship restored with His Father. That's grace. Unearned, divine favor from God. Without it, there is no forgiveness of sin. [Hebrews 9:22]. Human salvation is the result of Heaven’s grace.

John 3:16 alone, tells us that we must go to Jesus to have our sins forgiven, so we can have fellowship with His father once they are forgiven, and then we inherit eternal life. It is Jesus that does the work of saving. Not us. But faith without works is dead, however our works come after we've been saved....not before. And even then, they are not used to earn your way to heaven. Jesus was very clear on that.

@hippyjoe1955 By sincerely repenting and purifying my heart. I return to God and He is the most forgiving and Merciful. What would God gain by punishing us? Nothing. God wants us to purify our hearts this time on earth, so we would enter Paradise with sound hearts. Actually, our existence on earth has a purpose.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@LadyGrace Respectfully, when Adam sinned, it was not us, it was him. When Jesus was "crucified", it was not us, it was him. Why would God punish and forgive us based on deeds done by others?

Plus, when God created man, wasn't He aware that we are sinners? Why would He expect perfection from imperfect creatures?
@Madeleine If we could purify our own hearts, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross.
@Madeleine There's an answer in God's word for every bit of that. I can answer those questions but I do not have time right now. I will have to get back with you on that. But then again, what would be the point because I believe no matter what, we will end up agreeing to disagree, so we'll just leave it at that. Thanks for your comments.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@LadyGrace I appreciate your comments very much. We don't have to agree to love one another. I wish you all the best and may God guide both of us to the truth. Amen.
@Madeleine Amen, that is exactly right, Madeline. I really appreciate your kindness and love you, too. My goodness, if everyone had to agree with each other in order to love each other, this would be a very sad world. 😆 Feel free to write me anytime, dear.
