I Am Enjoying Being A Muslim

A calamity that makes me turn to God is better for me than a blessing which makes me forget the remembrance of God.

[Quran 65:7]
"God will create ease after hardship."
When going through a hardship, if we turn to God and push ourselves to be patient, sooner or later we’ll see how that hardship was actually a blessing. There are moments in life that no human being can undergo, unless they are fully reliant on God and certain of His protection, regardless of how much strength, endurance and perseverance has already been given them. For in life there are moments that take all of these things by storm, and only those stay standing who were given surety through the remembrance of God.
[Quran 13:28]
"Only with the remembrance of God do hearts find surety."
So I may live in this world, and have all the goods and possessions of deception that anyone could dream of, but have completely failed at the object of my existence. And if the object of my existence is, as God tells us, only to serve Him,
[Quran 51:56]
"I did not create the jinn and the humans except to worship Me."
Then it would follow that only that which brought me closer to that end, would be a blessing, while that which took me away from that end would be the greatest calamity – no matter what those things were. And so it may be that the loss of everything dear to me is in fact the greatest blessing from God. If that loss brings me closer to the very purpose of my creation, what greater blessing could there be?

God will help us get through this, if we remember Him.

I do believe the purpose of Man is to worship God.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic What purpose did God have in making man?
Pfuzylogic · M
@hippyjoe1955 As I stated above and I do believe that the Son was predestined to redeem Adam.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic So what was God's purpose in creating man? Simple question. No need to evade.
Pfuzylogic · M
@hippyjoe1955 Why the insult brother?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic Because you continue to evade the question. You say man's purpose is to worship God which is not the answer to what was God's purpose in creating man. Two very different questions and two different answers.

@hippyjoe1955
I understand that you are quizzing me with an expected answer.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic God said what His purpose was. I am curious if you know what it was. Here is a hint - Genesis 1:26.

@hippyjoe1955 Please Joe I didn't come on here to make my honest comment for you to jump on my thread and be difficult.
I know the Bible friend.
Maybe you should start your own thread,
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic Without a proper understanding of God's purpose in creating man there arise all kinds of false religions.
Pfuzylogic · M
@hippyjoe1955
I am content with my trust in Christ.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic Understanding God's purpose in creating man also helps explain Christ's redeeming death and resurrection.
Pfuzylogic · M
@hippyjoe1955 The first statement I made about the predestined Christ.
The one that redeemed Adam.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic If you say so. Personally I think you were saying what and how but not why. Yes Jesus died to redeem Adam's race and yes Jesus' death was cast at the fall of man. Why is the question.
Pfuzylogic · M
@hippyjoe1955 His death was before the foundation of the world. Omniscience timed that. God was not caught by surprise.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic Never said He was. He is eternal meaning all time is now for Him. There are no surprises for an eternal Being.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 God created us to worship Him, and that goes to the extent of being obedient to his commandments in all aspects of our life. This indicates the purpose of our existence on earth, which is a test to separate good hearts from the bad ones.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Madeleine Do you honestly believe that? Wow how small is your god?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Madeleine You honestly believe your god created all that is and all that ever will be and created mankind to tell him how great he is? Seriously you believe that?
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 God doesn't need our worship. We need it. Our hearts would never find contentment without having God in them.

A god that demands the torture and shed of blood of an innocent human being can never be the Creator.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Madeleine So if God doesn't need our worship then why as you say did he create us to worship him?
Pfuzylogic · M
@Madeleine
Jesus was prophecised in Isaiah.
He is my Savior.
Salvation is of the Jews and there is no other name before mankind to be saved.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 God created us and put the nature of worship Him inside of us, so when someone is too arrogant to worship his/her Creator, they never find contentment.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Pfuzylogic Respectfully, what was the prophecy?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Madeleine Ha ha ha you can't worship Him you don't have the nature to worship Him. Instead you follow a bunch of rules and recite meaningless words. That is not worship at all. John 4:24 Jesus said, "God is Spirit and you must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Of course Spirit is Holy Spirit and Truth is Jesus Christ.
Pfuzylogic · M
@Madeleine There are many in the Old Testament, even in Genesis.

There are some very incredible ones that speak to me.
I hope this is a response that is useful.
