How do I get this calf to follow its mom?

We live on 4 acres and have 2 pastures. The mom walks happily to nice greener pasture but her calf refuses to follow. He stays in the old pasture and calls for his mom. I took the part of the fence down so he has a wider area to walk through but he still wont follow her.

@samueltyler2 no its just a mini farm. We live on 4 acres. We have 20 chickens, 2 cows, 6 pigs, 1 dog, and 2 cats.

@samueltyler2 the closest actual city would be Portland about an 1 hour away. We only have small to medium sized towns around us. The city limits of the closest town to us is just barely past our property. The town has only 1 traffic light.

@morrgin be safe. Get out of the fires way. If you have a place to go for yourselves and your animals get out asap. I have friends in CA who waited and then ran for their lives.

@samueltyler2 I was right. The air index just got worse. We are alright here. Our area is safe. We are thinking of taking in other livestock of people who are evacuating their animals.
