What sort of penalties were there for being "out of uniform" and were poor or poorer kids inclined to get them?

@Alfred22 well really since the public school closed down. They did let public kid's in. Public one's didn't need to wear a uniform. But they had to dress nice. No tear pants. Boxers couldn't show. No belly button showing. Bras couldn't show.

Could students be punished for violating the dress code? If so, what were the consequences and did they seem fair?

@Alfred22 u would be wrote up. So you have a chance to go home and change. But if u did it for a 3rd time u would get the paddle or after school detention

That's what I was worried about but you could go back and address the uniform issue. With clubs and teams, uniforms are a joint effort with parents.

@Alfred22 most of the students did follow the rules. I remember a few girl's being sent home. Some of the teenage boy's being sent home. Baggy jeans and boxers showing.

How many of the public school kids had parents who signed the paddling consent form? I have no sense of which way that choice would go.

@Alfred22 I remember hearing a few got signed. They are strict about rules. The principal use to walk around with a ruler for skirts

What was the requirement? Inches below the knee?

Could anyone accidentally break the skirt length rule? Was it a paddling offense the first time?

@Alfred22 uniform skirts was below the knee. Public skirt was just above the knee. First time it was a write up. They kept a clipboard and it had all the names and how many write ups

@SW-User my oldest she would all was roll her skirt up. She wore the uniform. They was pretty strict with the uniform. Even the shirt had to be wrinkle free. Public kid's didn't need to

Uniform skirts could be and were rolled up at great peril to the owner!

I remember this one girl she got the paddle. I remember when she left the office she was yelling at the principle. I'm going to call my daddy and tell him u paddled me, and he will have this school closed down. She was like the hottest cheerleader at the public school

What did she do to get her licks? Her parents must have signed the form. Was she injured or just the usual tingle and smarting?
